How to Create a Pineapple Centerpiece

How to Create a Pineapple Centerpiece

I love to make centerpieces! A centerpiece draws all the attention to the table.  This pineapple centerpiece is easy to make and a crowd pleaser.

Step 1: Pick the perfect pineapple.  Don't focus too much on the top part of the pineapple since we will be cutting it off.  The most important thing is to make sure it is able to stand on its own.

Step 2: Cut the top of the pineapple with a serrated knife.

Step 3: Cut a circle inside the pineapple in order to prepare to scoop everything out.

Step 4: Use a teaspoon to scoop out the inside of the pineapple. A grapefruit spoon works very well.  Save the pineapple chunks for a lovely pineapple salad.

Step 5: Cut the top of a plastic cup and add water.  This is where your flowers will go.  Push the cup inside the pineapple.

Step 6: Cut your flowers to the desired length.

I usually make serval of these to place around the table.  The best part about this centerpiece is that your guests can take them home as favors.

Tip: I make my centerpieces the night before and put them in the fridge overnight.  The flowers stay fresh longer!

Enjoy!

Happy Organizing!
